The Margrave
I leave the pool with my back to Scarla so she doesnât see my massive erection. Without turning around, I call instructions over my shoulders and stride up the stairs while I still have control.
Sheâs just a mortal woman, so why are her curves engraved on my retinas? Why is the sway of her hips and the line of her neck so mesmerizing? Itâs supposed to be the other way around.
Angels seduce women, and thatâs that.
Whatâs more, she should be throwing herself at me, pressing her full breasts against my chest and begging me to hold her.
She should be licking my chest with her perfect tongue and calling my name on her lips.
I shake my arms out, and droplets splash the stone walls. Perhaps itâs a vestigial power she inherited? Yes, that must be it.
Itâs more fodder for my study of her, and even if her resistance is frustrating, it is also interesting.
Refusing to hide my arousal like a teenager, I march through the castle in my full glory. My staff is bred and trained to look away, but more than one servant reaches up and touches my chest as I pass, unable to resist the naked angelic allure.
So whatâs with Scarla? This experiment is becoming frustrating.
I pull my clothes on and snap at a staring servant. âTake a fresh gown down to the pool for our guest.â
As soon as I laid eyes on her down in the lake, my control almost slid away. In the moment before she knew I was there, she was swept away in her own pleasure, her arched back making her breasts and bottom more voluptuous. Small moans reached my ears, so quiet she was probably unaware of them herself. Her skin looked like cream over velvet, and I felt my magic snaking around her body, increasing her arousal.
Shaking my head, I march along the corridor, feeling my sorcery awaken at the very idea of her.
I stop in my tracks. Cowardice comes in many forms, and scurrying off to my tower to avoid a mere mortal must be the worst kind. I turn on my heel and retrace my steps, heading toward her chamber.
I burst into her room without knocking, making sure she knows damn well whoâs castle this is. Sheâs fully clothed, thank the Maker, but I still see the image of her naked and arched in pleasure, with her hands pressed against her own breasts.
Pressing my lips thin, I growl. âGood. Youâre out. But what are you wearing? I sent you a dress.â
Her shoulders press back, and the thin shirt pulls tight across her chest, making me harden. It is mustard yellow with a scooped neckline, exposing a swathe of pristine flesh below her white neck.
âIâm not some doll for you to dress up as you please. I wonât be paraded about in skirtsâtheyâre as restrictive as any prison cell. I insisted that Molly let me select trousers from the wardrobe, and if you have a problem with that, you can damn well wear a dress yourself and see how you like it.
